Hyundai has dropped new teasers for the upcoming Ioniq 6 N, confirming its global debut next month at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK. This performance-focused version of the Ioniq 6 marks Hyundai’s latest push into the high-performance electric segment, following the critically acclaimed Ioniq 5 N.
Aggressive Styling, Track-Ready Details
The latest teaser, shared via Hyundai’s official Instagram, shows a darker rear-end shot of the Ioniq 6 N. While mostly in shadow, several key upgrades are visible:
- A large fixed rear wing for added downforce
- A trapezoidal third brake light mounted high on the rear glass
- A cleaner rear design compared to the standard Ioniq 6, thanks to the deletion of the pre-facelift integrated spoiler
The Ioniq 6 N will also benefit from the split headlight design introduced in the 2026 facelift. Expect more aggressive front and rear bumpers, forged alloy wheels, a lower ride height, and a wider stance—all signature N-performance enhancements.
Performance Expectations: Over 640 Horsepower
Under the skin, the Ioniq 6 N is expected to match or exceed the performance of its crossover sibling, the Ioniq 5 N. That means:
- Estimated 641 hp and 545 lb-ft of torque
- 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in low 3-second range
- Shared 84-kWh battery pack
- Possible range: slightly above 221 miles, depending on aerodynamics and weight
While official specs will be revealed at Goodwood, the Ioniq 6 N’s streamlined shape and lower weight could help it outperform the Ioniq 5 N in straight-line speed and efficiency.
Focus on Performance Over Efficiency
Like the Ioniq 5 N, the 6 N will likely sacrifice driving range for sheer driving thrills. Still, its sleeker shape and lower ride height may improve aerodynamic efficiency, possibly giving it an edge in range over its bulkier crossover counterpart.
The standard Ioniq 6 offers up to 361 miles of range, but the N version will likely fall well below that figure in favor of sportier driving dynamics.
Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Price and Release Date
Hyundai hasn’t confirmed pricing yet, but based on the brand’s pricing structure, we expect the Ioniq 6 N to:
- Start around $65,000, slightly under the Ioniq 5 N’s $66,200 MSRP
- Officially debut in July 2025 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
- Go on sale later in the year as a 2026 model
Final Thoughts: The EV Sedan to Watch in 2025
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N could become one of the most compelling electric sedans on the market, offering track-ready performance, bold design, and a more attainable price tag than many high-end EV competitors.
As the EV performance war heats up, Hyundai’s N division is proving it can keep pace with legacy and premium brands alike—now not just on the rally stage, but on the electric grid too.
